Joscelin’s story began with a simple idea and a message to her daughter. Below, she shares her experience in her own words:
A letter from Joscelin D. A Winners Story
We live on a property with three generations on it. With the rental market being so tough, my 24-year-old daughter has really been struggling to find somewhere affordable to live. I mentioned to her that she should look into tiny homes and possibly putting one on our property.
When I came across the competition, I decided to buy tickets. I even texted my daughter saying, “I can’t buy you a tiny home, but I can try and win one for you.”
Getting the winning phone call was such a high. I honestly couldn’t believe it at first. I rang my daughter straight away to tell her, and she thought I was joking. When she realised I was serious, there were a lot of screams, laughter, and happiness.
This tiny home is truly a life changer for her, and for our family. We’re so grateful for the opportunity and excited for our daughter.
